Coach Fabio Capello reprimanded a group of photographers prior to England’s training session at their Royal Bafokeng World Cup base on Wednesday.

The 63-year-old Italian was unhappy that their focus was on a building that also contains a medical room.”Why do you take photos of the rooms? No excuses,” said Capello.There will be no media access to Thursday’s training, although this was not a reaction to the events that occurred on Wednesday.The decision, arranged within the England schedule, followed football world governing body Fifa’s guidelines of allowing one session behind closed doors in the build-up to each game.“Capello’s outburst is probably a symptom of the adrenalin that is building up inside the England camp – they are all clearly desperate for this World Cup to start after such a long build-up,” said BBC Sport’s chief football writer Phil McNulty reporting from the training camp.

The men are all currently serving banning orders after being convicted of football-related disorder and have been forced to surrender their passports to police.The bans, which prevent offenders from going to any match in the UK as well as travelling abroad to watch the national team, can also be slapped on fans whose general behaviour in and around football grounds can be deemed as threatening.Hartlepool Police’s football intelligence officer, PC Mick Hume, said: “There are two types of banning orders which can be handed out by the courts on police advice and they both prevent people from travelling to watch England.”We have 18 men in Hartlepool who have been contacted by ourselves and they were instructed to hand in their passports and then report to us on the day of the games.”We have had a 100 per cent compliance from the fans who have banning orders in Hartlepool and the passports will be returned to the individuals on July 11, which is the day of the World Cup final.”That restriction applies regardless of how England do in the competition.All air and sea ports around the UK will be monitored by police during the World Cup, with any fans who have failed to hand over their passports warned to expect arrest should they attempt to leave the country.Any fans wishing to travel abroad during the duration of the tournament, either for a holiday or work, have to report to the authorities to get special permission to travel.The banned fans from Hartlepool have not been named by police, though PC Hume said they range from mid-20s to men in their 40s.He added: “The level of football hooliganism in Hartlepool has dropped in recent seasons and last season just one arrest was made at Victoria Park and that was actually a visiting supporter from Leeds.”But by recovering the passports we are complying with the national requirements and what we are doing in Hartlepool is no different to anywhere else in the country.”Around 3,000 fans from around the country who are known to police for football-related disorder are being prevented from travelling, and hopefully that will reduce the risk of any trouble in South Africa.”
