Samir Nasri has cast more doubt over his Arsenal future by admitting he may not sign a new contract.The 23-year-old midfielder, who is entering the final year of his current deal, has also refused to rule out a move to Manchester United.Speaking to French sports programme Telefoot, Nasri said: “I don’t know if I will sign a new contract, the discussions are ongoing.“Do I want to go to United? First, we should see if it’s real and concrete.”Manchester United defender Patrice Evra invited his French team-mate Nasri to move to Old Trafford last month.The versatile attacker, who joined the Gunners in 2008 from Marseille, has scored 27 goals in 124 appearances.He particularly impressed during the first half of last season, which was his most productive to date at the Emirates, scoring 15 goals in 45 games in total during the campaign.

Ban for fan who lit flare during Albion cup game

A FLARE-WIELDING football fan has had his right to watch his team play extinguished after carrying out a dangerous stunt at a Burton Albion match.

Z, who appeared before Burton magistrates for sentencing, was one of four Middlesbrough fans who were arrested following an incident at the Pirelli Stadium on January 8.After their team’s opening goal during their FA Cup clash with Burton Albion, a number of the away side’s fans lit flares in the crowd, one of which was thrown onto the pitch.

Z, 26, was arrested for his part in the high-profile incident and pleaded not guilty to the charge of possessing a flare at a sporting event when he appeared at Burton Magistrates’ Court.Prosecutor Andrew Bodger said: “Once the goal had been scored a number of flares and smoke bombs were ignited.“The game was stopped and at least four large red flares were ignited.“Panic was caused in parts of the crowd.” Police officers were quick to act — entering the stadium from the rear and arresting three Middlesbrough fans.Burton police put out an appeal for the identity of a fourth Middlesbrough fan, releasing a picture to jog people’s memories.Z was arrested shortly afterwards.He was found guilty at his trial and has now been given a 12-month community order, a three-year football banning order and 60 hours unpaid work.He was also ordered to pay £650 court costs.The three other defendants, X, 20, of Middlesbrough, Y, 38, of Margate, and a 17-year-old who cannot be named, had all pleaded guilty.X and Y were handed threeyear football banning orders and 12- month community orders, as well as Ban for fan who lit flare during Albion cup game being told to do 40 hours unpaid work each and pay £50 costs each.The 17-year-old was sentenced to a six month referral order and a three year football banning order, as well as being ordered to pay £50 costs.The flares turned out to be ships’ distress flares.
