Lee Bowyer’s cool finish took spirited Birmingham out of the relegation zone and sent Chelsea crashing to a third Premier League defeat in four games.

Evra scored his first goal in over three years

Headed goals from Patrice Evra and Javier Hernandez sealed victory for Manchester United against Wigan, who had two men sent off at Old Trafford.

Evra headed home Park Ji-Sung’s cross to break the deadlock before half time after hesitancy from Ali Al Habsi.Wigan later had Antolin Alcaraz sent off for two bookable offences before Hugo Rodallega was red carded for a wild lunge on United defender Rafael.Wayne Rooney returned for United but it was Hernandez who sealed the victory.

Miller tucked away two penalty kicks at Rugby Park

Kenny Miller claimed a hat-trick as Rangers saw off a spirited challenge from 10-man Kilmarnock at Rugby Park.

Conor Sammon fired the home side in front from close range on 21 minutes but Miller replied from the penalty spot five minutes before the interval.Mohamadou Sissoko was ordered off for conceding his second penalty, with Miller again converting on 55 minutes.Sammon slid in at the back post to level, only for Miller to seal the points with a finish from six yards.This was the sixth time leaders Rangers have come from behind to win in the Scottish Premier League this term.

Hooper scored his 11th goal of the season against United at Celtic Park

An injury-time header from Sean Dillon snatched a point for Dundee United at Celtic Park.

Gary Hooper’s 11th goal of the season gave Celtic a 23rd-minute lead after good work by Shaun Maloney.United keeper Dusan Pernis made fine saves to keep out efforts from Hooper and Niall McGinn.Dundee United seldom threatened but Celtic were made to pay for their profligacy when Dillon popped up to level in the dying seconds.The draw means Rangers now extend their lead over Celtic at the top of the table to three points, while United increase their advantage over seventh-placed Kilmarnock by two points.

Blackburn have been searching for new owners for the past two years

Blackburn have been bought by the Rao family in a £43m deal to become the first Indian-owned Premier League club.

The new owners acquired Rovers’ shares for £23m with a debt of about £20m also taken on, BBC Sport understands.A trust set up by the late former owner Jack Walker to own the club has sold its 99.9% holding to the newly-formed company Venky’s London Limited.
