CARLO ANCELOTTI reckons Fabio Capello has gone from god to d***head in the eyes of England fans.

Three Lions manager Capello oversaw a disastrous World Cup campaign and is still fighting to rescue his reputation ahead of tonight’s Euro 2012 qualifier in Switzerland.Fellow Italian and Chelsea boss Ancelotti said: “Before the World Cup, Capello was a god. Now it is as if he’s not good enough to manage England.”In Italy, if you are winning you’re a good guy but, if you’re losing, you are a poor guy.”In Italian you can say ‘testa di cazzo’.“Testa means head and cazzo translates from Italian a more intimate part of the male body.But Ancelotti insists Capello is still the right man to lead England out of their embarrassing slump in South Africa, which ended in a 4-1 hammering by Germany.The Blues manager added: “Capello will show in the future that he is able to manage the national team.”England did not have a good World Cup but the most important player of the competition, Wayne Rooney, was not 100 per cent fit.“I think Capello is a fantastic coach.”

Striker Wayne Rooney has arrived in Switzerland with the England squad for their Euro 2012 qualifier amid allegations about his private life.

Rooney has made the trip with the rest of the squad for Tuesday’s Group C tie.However, England coach Fabio Capello will have to decide if Rooney is in the right frame of mind to play.The News of the World and the Sunday Mirror alleged Rooney had slept with a prostitute while his wife Coleen was pregnant with their son.The story dominates Monday’s newspapers as well.Capello is set to hold a news conference at about 1600 BST on Monday to discuss the match against Switzerland.Rooney had played a starring role in England’s 4-0 win over Bulgaria at Wembley on Friday after his disappointing displays during the dismal World Cup campaign this summer.

Milner bats away Rooney questions

His England team-mate James Milner said the 24-year-old Rooney was a top professional who would be concentrating on matters on the pitch.The Manchester City star stated: “He’s a top player, he showed it on Friday and trained fully [on Sunday].”I’m sure he’ll continue to do that.
