Chelsea fans hack Man Utd call centre
Tue May 18 12:21PM
A group of Chelsea supporters hacked into Manchester United’s telephone system at the weekend in order to taunt their rival fans.Callers who phoned Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon were stunned to hear a group of Chelsea fans chanting ‘We are the champions’ in place of the usual message explaining that the offices would be closed for the weekend.”I couldn’t believe my ears,” one fan told the Daily Mirror. “I thought they worked all weekend but instead all I got was ‘We are the champions’ from a bunch of Chelsea supporters. An Old Trafford source confirmed that the breach had taken place – but added that it was swiftly put right, with only callers between 2pm and 3pm being affected.”It did happen but we got to it quite quickly,” a club spokesman said. “An investigation is underway and if we find the culprits we will decide where we go from there.”

Chelsea fans hack Man Utd phone systems
Messed-with message moons Manc fans
By John Leyden
Chelsea fans mocked their rivals at Manchester United last weekend by hacking into the Old Trafford club’s phone system and changing its recorded message.Manchester United fans were greeted with a “we are the champions” chant by Chelski supporters instead of a recorded message stating the club was closed for the weekend, the Daily Mirror reports. The subtle satirical prank bears the hallmarks of a low-tech hack by workers at one of the firms supplying the service, rather than anything more technically sophisticated.Chelsea completed their first Premiership and FA Cup double last Saturday, beating destitute and already relegated Portsmouth 1-0 at Wembley. A week earlier the Blues secured the Premiership, one point ahead of 2008-09 champions Manchester United, in emphatic style with a 8-0 win over Wigan at Stamford Bridge. ®

Chelsea fans taunt rivals by hacking into Manchester United’s phone system
By Patrick Mulchrone 18/05/2010
Celebrating Chelsea fans hacked into Manchester United’s phone system – and taunted their bitter rivals.
Callers contacting United over the weekend would normally have heard a message saying the club was closed but would reopen for business on Monday. However, from Friday evening they were greeted by Chelsea supporters chanting: “We are the champions.”.One caller told The Mirror: “I couldn’t believe my ears. I thought they worked weekends, but all I got was ‘We are the champions’ from a bunch of Chelsea supporters.”A United spokesman confirmed last night: “It did happen, but we got to it quite quickly. An investigation is under way and if we find the culprits we will decide where we go from there.”The Blues – helped by a hat-trick against Wigan Athletic on the last day by striker Didier Drogba – beat United to the Premier League and also won the FA Cup.
