Mido & Ilan join West Ham on loan

West Ham United have completed the loan signings of strikers Mido from Middlesbrough and Brazilian Ilan from French club St Etienne.
The two deals followed the signing of Blackburn forward Benni McCarthy.The 26-year-old Mido, who spent the first few months of the season with Egyptian side Zamalek, first made his name in England with rivals Tottenham.

Middlesbrough and Celtic agree a deal for McDonald

Middlesbrough have agreed a deal of around £3.5m with Celtic to take Scott McDonald from Glasgow to Teesside.
The Australian goalscorer’s move appeared in doubt earlier on Monday, but terms were agreed before the transfer deadline closed at 1700 GMT.Boro manager Gordon Strachan signed McDonald, 26, from Motherwell in 2007 when he was in charge at Celtic.

Tottenham striker Robbie Keane joins Celtic
Celtic have confirmed the signing of Tottenham striker Robbie Keane on loan until the end of the season.
The 29-year-old Republic of Ireland international is travelling to Glasgow on Monday evening and will be presented at a media conference at 2300 GMT.Keane has been consistently linked with a move to the club he is known to have supported as a boy.Spurs manager Harry Redknapp said: “He needs to be playing and to go to Celtic is a dream come true for him.”

Manchester City swooped to seal the signing of Middlesbrough winger Adam Johnson with minutes to spare at the end of the January transfer window.
Johnson travelled to Manchester for talks on Monday afternoon after the two clubs agreed an undisclosed fee.The 22-year-old passed a medical and signed a contract until June 2014.
