Dopo la sosta dedicata agli impegni della selezioni nazionali, oggi ritornano in campo tutti i principali campionati. Nella “Premier League” il Liverpool, principale inseguitore del Manchester United, scenderà in campo a Londra contro il Fulham ma anche la sfida tra il Newcastle, in cerca di punti salvezza, ed il Chelsea appare interessante, così come Arsenal- Man City.WBA- Stoke City metterà in palio pesantissimi punti salvezza. In Scozia turno, sulla carta, facile per i Celtic che ospiteranno l’ Hamilton ma l’ occhio cade sulla sfida tra Motherwell ed Aberdeen, le cui tifoserie sono fieramente rivali. E’ un fatto noto che i primi nel Paese ad abbracciare lo stile “casual” siano stati quelli dell’ “ASC” (“Aberdeen Soccer Casuals”, foto ), seguiti a stretto giro di posta, ancora prima che si vedessero “dressers” a Glasgow o ad Edimburgo, dal “Saturday Service” giallorosso. Questa rivalità sfociò anche in diversi episodi violenti  e tra le tifoserie non corre affatto buon sangue.Intanto i Rangers Glasgow e la Federazione scozzese pare intendano usare il pugno di ferro nei confronti di Mc Gregor e Ferguson, trovati ubriachi nel ritiro della nazionale scozzese e messi fuori squadra nella sfida contro l’ ‘Islanda.

“At the same time Rangers issued a statement detailing the punishment, the SFA announced that both Ferguson and McGregor would no longer be considered for international selection.
The decisive action taken by Rangers manager Smith was in stark contrast to the earlier pronouncements of the SFA on the matter, with manager George Burley and chief executive Gordon Smith having initially claimed the matter was closed.
“In light of the events of the past 48 hours and following further discussions between the manager and chief executive,” said an SFA spokesman, “it has been decided that Barry Ferguson and Allan McGregor will no longer be considered for international selection by Scotland. This action has been taken in the best interest of the squad, the fans and the country.”
It is also understood that both players will not be selected for first-team action again by Rangers when they return from their suspensions. The club will seek to offload Ferguson and McGregor in the summer.”
